Additional declarations annexed to phytosanitary certificates

Additional declarations annexed to the phytosanitary certificates cause problems too often.

They apply rules that are diversely interpreted but the Phytosanitary services in the importing countries rarely communicate the declarations that they expect to receive from their counterpart in the exporters' country. As a result packages with a non satisfactory declaration may be stopped until a rectified one is emailed or sent by post. Import permits avoid this problem as they mention the additional declaration as it must be written. We may ask our buyers without import permits to receive from their phytosanitary services ( plant protection department ) the expected wording instead of us having to rectify after the plants have been intercepted at the customs.

Order : I don't see my shipping charges

I placed an order on Aleyagarden then I was asked to check out but I don't see the shipping charge, should I register first or something ?

This is a common problem on
the Shopping Cart page due to the way it was designed : you did not see down this page the box where to select the shipping option.

You can shop as a guest, registration is not needed, but
when you are on the Shopping Cart page you must select a shipping method : Small Air parcel ( recommended under 2 kg, especially to the EU ) or EMS. Then you must push the button : APPLY . Please see the picture below.

The problem is that the selection box of the
Shipping Options should appear just below the display of items in the cart and not down the page ; the order of appearance instead is :

Pros and cons in the use of gel

Pros and cons in the use of gel

1- what are the positive points of dispatching with the gel ?
- gel bits release slowly humidity in a non aggressive way
- they can store, if added by the sender, nutriments, fungi, bacteria, hormones .. that can be used after arrival to mix with soil or water.

2- negative point with the gel?
- if the air is humid enough during travel too much humidity around the plant will cause rot especially during hot periods.

3 - can cuts be sent in an envelope with gel ?
- gel can't be used in envelopes, but if envelopes are padded gel is not necessary : gel AND plastic sheet do not work together

4 - what is the price for cuts with gel ?
- additions of gel in boxes is free at aleyagarden

5 - is gel treatment and aid to send more fragile cuts ?
- yes gel bits may help more efficiently than plastic in cardboard boxes ( there is more air in boxes than in envelopes )
